About the role :
Title:- Area Sales Manager – North of England
Salary:– Up to £60,000 plus competitive Benefits
Responsibilities :
- Responsibility for the management of circa 40-50 branded forecourts within a specified geographic area. Total area volume of circa 150 million litres per annum and gross margin of circa £1.5 million.
- Responsibility to deal with individual customer queries such as payments, deliveries etc.
- Seek out new business opportunities in terms of forecourts requiring a branded fuel supply.
- Negotiate contractual terms and manage the process from end to end, which would involve agreeing branding parameters, account set-up, line of credit and credit card facilities.
- Renews current contracts within the existing portfolio in a timely manner, achieving target retention rate.
Candidate requirements :
Educational Level and Professional Qualifications Required/Preferred:
Educated to at least to A Level or HND level.
Business or Marketing related degree preferred.
Experience (including number of years in role) Required/Preferred:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales account management and/or contract negotiation required.
Experience in the fuel/convenience store or grocery retail business arena preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills and advanced skills in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Self-motivation to seek out new business opportunities
- Ability to present to groups of people both internally and externally
- Ability to work in isolation and within a competitive sales team
