Business Analyst 

About The Role:

The Business Analyst is part of the European Planning & Engineering team and will lead Customs Clearance related projects bridging the gap between IT and the business using BMP flows and the SAFe work patterns to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Recommend, lead and execute business analysis plans for new and existing projects
• Produce complex business process model flows (BPM flows) and translate those into business requirements
• Produce entity relationship diagram based on business requirements and specifications
• Evaluate business requests and needs against the strategy
• Recognize and recommend opportunities for innovations
• Take ownership of initiatives and work independently to successful conclusion
• Maintain close partnerships with collaborating departments e.g. IT, Operations and Regulatory..
• Engage with all levels of business stakeholders to identify business needs

Candidate Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an International Business environment.
• Preferably: Business school/University level education, in business-administration (MBA), business-engineering, master’s in information technology or business analytics, or similar
• Preferably: Business Analyst certificate, or willing to study to obtain this
• Very good analytical skills. Understand user needs and translate them into business requirements / flows
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) to present to technical and business audiences
• Experience in designing and documenting business/system process flows
• Affinity with systems and technology
• Innovative mindset
• Excellent interpersonal & negotiation skills with the ability to interact effectively throughout various functional groups and hierarchical levels
• Willingness to travel frequently (30% or more) to various FedEx locations in Europe
• Ability to lead internal cross-functional teams to fast-cycle strategic developments
• Previous exposure to Customs Clearance is an advantage
• Affinity with the Express Transportation industry
