Position OverviewYour opportunity to join a rapidly growing environmental consulting team embedded in Kiewit’s Engineering Group. As an Environmental Coordinator you will support environmental permitting and noise consulting work across our OGC and Industrial Markets. Your role will be instrumental in establishing a growing services group.  In addition to supporting technical work scopes on projects you will support the development of internal procedures driving Kiewit’s efforts to be a full-service solution for our clients. Your work will be highly varied including support for construction projects, EPC, engineering reviews as well as permitting and noise work scopes.
The successful candidate will support projects across multiple regions of the US and Canada as well as work across industries including renewables, chemicals, and LNG; and will need to demonstrate experience across a wide variety of environmental scopes and a proficiency for learning quickly, adapting to changing priorities and managing multiple work scopes concurrently.

Our rapidly growing oil, gas and chemical team, which includes structural, civil, piping, mechanical, process, process safety, electrical, instrument and control disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the EPCC delivery model for dynamic process facilities. 
LocationThis position is based out of our Energy Corridor Office in Houston, TX and typically requires less than 25 percent travel. 
Responsibilities
Support environmental work scopes within the greater engineering and construction focused project team
Engage with environmental leads to support environmental work scopes including: Developing permitting matrices (for both owner scope permits as well as construction/EPC activities); Reviewing permits and authorizations to extract engineering design requirements for facilities; Support FERC Resource Report development; Writing SWPPP and SPCC plans; Drafting client deliverables and reports to summarize project findings; Manage and Coordinate with 3rd party support (including procurement activities)
Draft environmental permitting applications
Support and participate in field activities associated with Phase 1 ESA and noise monitoring work scopes
Additional responsibilities may include coordinating, conducting, and/or leading field work.
25% travel anticipated to support field operations

Qualifications
Preferred: 3-5 years of experience with any of the following: Noise monitoring/modeling, NEPA, CEQA, CWA, CAA, RCRA, ESA, CZMA, NHPA, FERC
Preferred: Regional experience in California and Louisiana
Interest in supporting multi-faceted environmental work scopes including ecological/air permitting and/or noise monitoring and modeling
Ability to perform occasional field work is required.
A Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental studies, or another related field is desirable; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
