About the role : 

We are looking for a Head of Learning and Development who is responsible to empower our employees’ growth and to improve and develop their skills, knowledge and capabilities to drive better business performance. You will help our company to succeed by implementing a strategy to train and develop our people. A main goal of this role is to align employee goals and performance with that of the organization’s. Together with the support of the team and HR, the Head of Learning & Development has to identify skill gaps among employees and teams, develop and deliver training accordingly to close those gaps. Responsibilities : 

  • Lead the Learning and Development Team and ensure organizational and operational stability
  • Take responsibility of creating an innovative Learning & Development strategy as well as the design of all agile HR development activities including a meaningful learning culture
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of the defined training strategy in alignment with business needs / goals
  • Develops critical role and high potential leadership programs focused on advancing leaders and succession planning
  • Assess development needs to drive value adding training initiatives and identify / arrange suitable training solutions for employees to close relevant skill gaps
  • Actively search, creatively design and implement effective methods to educate, enhance and recognize performance
  • Manage annual performance management processes
  • Evaluate effectiveness through performance metrics
  • Design talent management solutions in order to achieve organizational change and development
  • Design and implement innovative tools and methods for (e-)learning
  • Leverage the full potential of people analytics data to drive change and proactively support key stakeholders
  • Support management level on strategic measures in the area of personnel and organizational development and monitoring of the operational implementation of various measures and processes
  • Support management in coaching managers with developing their team members through career pathing
  • Be on top of market trends and benchmarking against other companies to implement innovative and scalable learning and development solutions

Candidate requirements : 

  1. Strong leadership / people management skills
  2. Ability to build strong interpersonal and trustful relationships
  3. Excellent communication skills at all levels coupled with empathy for different personalities
  4. Strong standing and strength in collaboration within the team, as well as with business stakeholders across all seniority levels
  5.  Strong strategic / analytical strengths to be able to analyze, report and extract data as it relates to HR metrics
  6. Excellent facilitation and presentation skills that can easily be applied

across management levels and teams

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in HR / Organizational Development, Psychology, Business or another related field of study
  • Seven to ten years of professional experience in a dynamic and digital environment and in-depth experience in the areas of personnel and organizational development, talent management and ideally in change and performance management
  • Good knowledge of the latest Learning & Developments trends & software
  • Professional certification (e.g. CPLP) is preferred
