Internship Junior Controller

About The Role:

We are looking for a motivated intern who will be support the monthly and annual closing procedures with the senior SG&A Business Controller and supporting the transversal Business Control department for financial planning and analysis activities.

Responsibilities:

• You will collaborate with Business Controllers and Corporate BU managers to prepare the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial closing procedures (e.g. draft instructions, accounting of accruals, prepare SG&A and production reports, monitoring and reporting of actual performance, on a monthly basis, with a view of the yearly objectives set per department);
• You will be involved in business analysis (e.g. benchmarking of SG&A between various affiliates of Tractebel Group);
• You will be involved in the improvement of existing processes and the refinement of reports (e.g. elaboration of dashboards and follow-up of financial and/or operational KPI’s for your specific area of responsibility);
• You will contribute to ad-hoc transversal requests from ENGIE or Tractebel;
• You will contribute to reporting and communication of actual results and budget/MTP.

Candidate Requirements:

• You are a studying and you wish to do an internship in an engineering company or within a finance department of a large group for at least 3 months.
• At the time of your internship, you’re at least in your 3th bachelor;
• You are interested in working for an engineering company that is active in all phases of nuclear, power and infrastructure projects;
• Mastery of Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word and Power Point) is an asset;
• You have a professional working proficiency in English and a full professional working proficiency in Dutch and/or French and/or German;
• You have a strong analytical mind-set, you are well organized, accurate, rigorous, stress resistant and focused on meeting deadlines.
