About The Role:

This position is responsible for designing, developing and supporting applications and database code within the Workforce Software Time and Attendance, while enforcing best practices. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, possess strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, and excel in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must have the ability to work with individuals from multiple business units across a variety of locations, external vendors, and a dynamic IT support staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop program logic for new applications, analyzes, and modifies logic in existing applications. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and implements software applications.
  • Analyzes and translates business requirements into technical requirements and specifications. Tests and integrates application components. Leverages standardized application, reporting, data, and integration tools to develop and improve applications.
  • Documents and maintains requirement documentation
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
  • Interfaces with third party support team
  • Partners with business and product owner to prioritize initiatives
  • Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and that technologies/systems are current
  • Identifies systems requirements. Identifies evolving business requirements, measures business processes and application
  • Gathers and analyzes relevant information to develop action plans
  • Understands the data and functions within the Information Technology (IT) applications. Also, understands interfacing applications.
  • Understands data and how the business processes function within IT applications
  • May lead projects or project steps within a broader project; looks for business improvement opportunities
  • Troubleshoots application issues and engages others as needed. Performs peer code reviews.
  • Develops recommendations for more difficult and complex issues

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or other Technology related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5 or more years IT experience in an information technology role including a minimum of 4 years’ experience in systems development.
  • Experience with multiple coding languages, including SQL
  • Experience with Workforce Software (preferred) or other Time Reporting and Labor Scheduling Tools
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies preferred
