Junior Oracle Applications Engineer

About The Role:

We are looking for recent graduates in our IT Trainee Program who will participate in a range of activities that will develop your knowledge and skills to become an effective part of our Software Engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Development of database applications based on Oracle technology
• Transactional on-line applications
• Processing of large amounts of data
• Focus on performance and tuning
• Enagage in data modelling and database design
• Testing
• Participate on application testing
• Analyse testing issues
• Support production release
• Incident management
• Analyse production issues
• Cooperate with operations team

Candidate Requirements:

• To qualify for a place on our program you will be maximum two year out of formal education (High School/University)
• Have technical background and natural understanding of IT
• Have programming experience (any programming languages, e.g. semester projects, commercial or personal projects)
• Have strong interest in RDBMS (Oracle) technology and its use in enterprise architecture
• Be committed to focus on a particular technology to become subject matter expert
• Have ambition to build scalable, high-available and robust enterprise systems
• Be efficient in reading and writing documentation in English, ideally also on communication level
• Be proactive and have ability to self-study under guidance
• Have great attention to detail
• Be patient, humble and ready for steep learning curve
