About The Role:
The role of an operations controller is one that requires a great deal of attention to detail. They are responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operations of their company run smoothly and efficiently. This includes overseeing the flow of materials, products, or information through the organization’s supply chain.
- Planning and scheduling work activities, taking into account the availability of resources and deadlines.
- Monitoring activities to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Communicating issues to management regarding any problems with equipment or processes that may affect productivity.
- Assisting in the development of new methods to improve efficiency or reduce costs.
- Analyzing data to identify problems or trends that may require corrective action.
- Conducting feasibility studies to determine whether new products or services are commercially viable.
- Coordinating with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of business processes and projects.
- Maintaining records of operational activities such as sales, inventory levels, staffing levels, or shipping activity.
- Developing operational budgets based on projected sales volume or costs such as labor and material costs.
- Required of at least 3 years of experience in the Railway System.
- Good communication skills.
- Proactive and positive attitude.
- Willing to learn and to be trained.
- Can work under pressure.
