About the role : 

We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Personal Assistant to join our team within the Insurance, Pensions & Investment division, providing support to the General Insurance, Protection and Investments Director, alongside his Senior Leadership Team.

Responsibilities : 

  • Run the diary, arranging and prioritising appointments and coordinating meetings, supporting with planning events and conferences
  • Lead the smooth day to day running of operational activities e.g. HR online, holiday planner, structure charts, reporting and key records etc
  • Ensure all the necessary papers and documents are produced in advance of meetings, liaising with other teams/ offices where necessary
  • Read inward correspondence, prioritise and action if necessary. Respond to correspondence without reference, as appropriate
  • Answer telephone calls, ascertaining their nature and importance, and resolving a range of enquiries
  • Gather and provide information on a wide range of topics, including material for various committees
  • Minute taking at key meetings as required
  • Organise travel itineraries in the UK
  • Identify, recommend and implement changes to operational procedures, to improve efficiency and service quality
  • Administer HR processes with the utmost discretion

Candidate requirements : 

  • Experience working as a personal assistant in a large, corporate environment
  • Very strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong organisation awareness
  • Good verbal and written interpersonal skills
  • Learns from others and actively seeks out learning opportunities
  • Strong desire to provide an excellent service
  • Very good attention to detail
  • Great teammate
