About The Role:
Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster, and easier. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, generate, and administer weekly staffing schedules based on open work in compliance with applicable Collective Agreements.
- Work with supervisory team for possible re-forecasting and recommendation of staff schedule refinements; adjust real-time workforce schedules.
- Analyze scheduling to anticipate workforce impacts scenarios for future events; investigate alternatives and recommend scheduling options.
- Lead the administration for employee vacation and shift bidding.
- Develop and use other analytical methods to coordinate with the operations to improve schedule accuracy.
- Produce business reports and data models from system data.
- Lead and collaborate on various projects and initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
- Completion of a diploma in Business or related field or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a related (workforce planning analyst) role.
- Knowledge of scheduling activities, including workforce analysis and real-time schedules to schedule staff and forecast workforce needs.
- Experience using software (Workforce Management, MS Office) with advanced proficiency with Excel/spreadsheets.
- Experience with statistical analysis and modeling.
- Presentation and communication skills to organize and structure information clearly, concisely, and logically.
