About the role :
Our FCCL Maintenance Planning & Scheduling team is currently looking for a Senior Maintenance Scheduler to support our Christina Lake asset. The scheduling role involves assembling and coordinating information, people, materials, and equipment along with all necessary resources to execute tasks.
Responsibilities :
- Work in alignment with Cenovus’ Purpose and Values and Life Saving Rules
- Adhere to Cenovus process’s, business flows, procedures, and standard practices
- Ensure HSE issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within area of responsibility
- Coach, mentor, and cross-train all key stakeholders to develop and improve safe and efficient work processes, as required
- Responsible for all maintenance scheduling activities associated within the assigned area work team (AWT)
- Identify, solve, and communicate on issues related to scheduling
- Review executable work orders ready to be scheduled within Maximo and Primavera P6 and/or SAP for accuracy of labor and materials
- Liaise with vendors to arrange service bookings, accommodations, tooling, etc.
- Schedule regulatory work as per a published regulatory calendar
- Schedule maintenance work as required for specific integrated projects, major maintenance, and turnarounds
- Work with area operators and maintenance staff on a daily basis to update schedules
- Participate and/or chair in daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling/backlog meetings.
- Facilitate weekly schedule review meetings with Operations and Maintenance to discuss ongoing activities, prioritize activities, review upcoming scheduled work for the next two weeks and identify maintenance requirements
- Provide weekly schedule utilization with AWT manpower availability
- Participate in reviews of planning and scheduling procedures for ongoing improvements
- Provide coverage for AWT and major maintenance project schedules
- Communicate effectively with your cross shift
- Identify, prioritize, implement, and support continuous improvement opportunities
Candidate requirements :
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to the relevant requirements of the Cenovus Alcohol and Drug policy which includes pre-assignment testing
- Journeyman or Engineer with a minimum 4 years of relevant industry experience or a Technologist with 8+ years of relevant industry experience
- Preference will be given to candidates with Planning or Scheduling experience
- Formal training and 5+ years’ work experience with SAP, Prometheus, Maximo and Primavera P6 preferred
- Proven ability to schedule and coordinate resources in a dynamic environment with an emphasis on safety
- Excellent project management, scheduling, and time management skills
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Works well in a team environment
- A strong and proven commitment to safety
