About The Role:
The Senior SCM Projects Advisor must possess strong collaboration, agility and forward-thinking skills which enables them to respond proactively to changing dynamics and anticipate evolving demand in a projects’ environment. The incumbent will be an effective communicator, adept at ensuring appropriate messaging to key stakeholders, with the ability to influence and identify shared solutions across the projects’ stakeholders, functions, suppliers, and service providers.
Responsibilities:
- Assess risk and support the development of category strategies in partnership with the Cenovus Projects team to achieve their overall objectives
- Develop and maintain a network of stakeholders across Projects
- Support the annual & long-term strategic planning and budgeting of the Projects portfolio to secure supply of goods and services across Upstream and Downstream Projects
- Leverage spend data, business requirements, external market data, and other necessary information to develop category strategies working alongside the Projects team
- Lead and manage all aspects of complex sourcing initiatives including RFx activities, development of negotiation strategies and recommendations to award
- Develop negotiation plans and lead stakeholders through the negotiation process
- Review, interpret, analyze, and negotiate contracts while driving contract utilization through effective implementation plans
- Drive post-award value through effective contract & supplier performance management
- Ensure compliance to all applicable corporate policies, including the Supply Chain Management policy, as well as legal and regulatory requirements
- Advance capture and utilization of key market, spend and performance analytics to further business decisions, manage risk to supply and drive value in sourcing and supply activities
- Support risk reporting activities within SCM, Projects and Turnarounds.
Candidate Requirements:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Calgary based with business support visits to the project sites
- 10+ years of progressively responsible and related experience
- 5+ years of experience on projects
- A background in Oil & Gas projects considered an asset
- Post-Secondary Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field
- Designation in a Supply Chain Management program would be a strong asset
- Working knowledge of the upstream and downstream Oil & Gas industry
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through Category Management processes
