System Safety Engineer

Responsibilities :

• Produce deliverable documentation (Safety and Environmental Management Plans / Safety and Environmental Cases) to UK MOD Standards
• Manage Safety, Environmental and Product Regulatory compliance issues to resolution
• Undertaking / facilitating required Safety and Environmental analysis (PHI, PHA, HAZOP, FTA, ETA)
• Provide advice, guidance and expertise to project and product teams – acting as focal point for product regulatory compliance matters lead and manage Safety, Environmental and Product

Candidate requirements  : 

• Knowledge of UK MOD Safety and Environmental Management processes (DEF STAN 00-056, 00-051, 00-055, POSMS, POEMS)
• Commercial experience of Safety Management Systems within a system engineering environment and Production of associated documentation
• Working knowledge of Safety and Environmental Product Regulatory Compliance legislation
